Yo Mom and all! So, you had a good time at leadership? That is great, I love leadership, its like a recharge to your business focus like going to church on Sunday is for your spiritual side. In regard to the family they are big boys and girls and need to solve their problems as we all do through much prayer and soul searching, as Dad says you can bring a horse to the water hole but you can't (and shouldnt try) to make them drink. You and Dad are great people and if anyone has anything else to say other than that, then they are the problem, not you.

I look forward to my return in 2010, also and after going through this talking in front of people in Spanish, English will be much easier! As far as who you talk to I really believe its like preaching the gospel; talk to everyone, because everyone deserves a chance at financial freedom and less stressful lives. Attend all the meetings you can to keep focused on your goals and keep you in the loop, within reason, but stretching yourselves always. I know you can and will show the plan because you and Dad CAN; JUST DO IT! I pray your foot gets better and you keep the great additude about the business that I see because I know God has a purpose for us and I know that we are on the right track, just keep on keepin on. If anyone keeps themself from being the Diamond they are capable of being , thats their problem no one elses. Its sad that they might let that happen but only they can change their outlook on life to a glass is half full instead of the glass half empty.

Yes we see the Presidente once a week at most but thats because he is in the office mostly and really only those in the office and high in leadership see him more often. My trainer speaks 5 languages and is really interested in our business, he is a really sharp guy who thinks a lot like us. I gave him all our info and he will be contacting you guys when he comes to America to go to BYU in about 6 months or so. I was thinking if we could get him on my 2nd team that would be great, but if not...Young Guns will really love him. I recieved the dictionary and the package with flip flops and THANK YOU I really appreciate it, I was lost without my sandals and dictionary. The protein bars are always welcomed! So far I havent had to pay for a package yet so all is well on that front. One dollar is about 2.7 to 2.9 soles. I am getting used to life here and man I would have to say those in America who have never been here have NO idea how good they have it. Even the poorest person has so much more than the average Jose here.

You are ALL in my daily prayers siempre (always) and hope my hard work here is resulting in you all recieving blessings. I hope you know that no matter what I love you ALL even if I may not say it, I feel it in my heart. I truly have the best family in the world! Regaurdless of our imperfections. Love you all.

Talk to you soon,
Elder Morton

Update real quick, we have three baptisms and I have performed two of them......all memorized in SPANISH! Crazy how the spirit in your moment of need steps in and helps you with those things you are not able to do on your own, when it is the will of the Lord.

We get our hair cut far from my trainers former pensionista (retiree) . I don't need any hair loss stuff, don't worry, I just need a comb to get that blood to my scalp. I have been doing that and my hair is getting thicker. I do need teeth whitening stuff though, they drink soda and lots of sugary stuff here, and you can't turn it down or they will feel bad. Yes every Monday we get our clothes cleaned by a member and if we choose we can get our suit dry cleaned but really we don't have to do that often because we don't wear our suits often. I am good, don't worry I am taking care of myself and they really take care of us here, I have lost weight solely because I am walking a whole lot and climbing hills! My budget is 510 soles per month and it is enough to survive for sure. I have been told that I will love the jungle and from photos I think I will too. I am safe and I heard about those problems but it hasnt effected me yet. I use the PC at some internet cafe. Yes it costs a dollar per picture.

Presidente Perez is our mission President and he ROCKS. He is a really nice guy and a great leader. My trainer is Ezra T. Saenz Avila. Don't send info now he will get a hold of you when he gets off his mission. He can't recieve stuff like that until after. Yeah! Go Mom You can do it. Love you all.

Talk to you soon!

1st Letter From Elder Morton from Lima, Peru, 08.27.08

Hey Mom & Dad,
I have reached my mission home in Lima, Peru and the President and his wife are great!
The Elders are nice & my companion is a good guy from what I hear.
All of your packages made it to the mission home. When I get to my area I will see which ones came. I will write you to confirm. I may or may not email you today but if I can I will. So far so good, I am alive and well.
I am excited to teach the gospel to develop a stronger relationship of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. It will be hard but I knew that to begin with.
The most important thing is that I concentrate on becoming the best missionary that I can be, so that you all will be blessed spiritually, & temporally, as our faith is tested.
I love you guys and pray for you every day. I know no matter if we work hard with our eyes set on eternal salvation things will work out for the best.
Never give up!
Love,
Rob
